StartFragmentHaving always been a fan of Sigma and Birdy, when I heard about this collab I was initially excited about it. After rushing to Spotify to hear “Find Me” for the first time, I was intrigued by the slow-moving, laid back piano and excited to hear what sounded like an acoustic Sigma song. I was mistaken.

As soon as the vocals come into the song I felt conned. Birdy's vocals were far too fast for the song, which upsettingly ruins the beauty of her voice not making the song easy to settle in to. As we then move on, we get a chorus which is a lot more comfortable to listen to, although still seems to take some of the soul that we know and love away from Birdy’s voice.

Then the drop… Oh dear. Sound familiar? Yes, I thought so too. Apparently for Sigma ‘Everything Is – not – Changing' as this drop is incredibly similar to their previous track featuring Paloma Faith which is a shame as I feel this unnecessary for a what had potential to be a pretty good song.

On my second time round listening, I actually loved it. Now that I knew where the song was heading musically I found the track very enjoyable contrary to my first impression. Then as the record went round for it’s third and fourth times, I loved it even more.

At first I wasn’t sure, now I can't stop listening. This is a beautiful collaboration between two genres and definitely a grower. I expect big things for it.
