ROAM; This one's for you.

In the past year, I have heard so much about ROAM. Their popularity has skyrocketed in such a short space of time, and it has been incredible to see their progression.

An incredibly fun band to watch, I enjoyed their whole set without knowing a single word of any song. Their song 'Head Rush' has all the makings of a true pop punk anthem, and I found myself singing along at various points where I picked up the lyrics. When it kicked in, the crowd were sent in to a frenzy of flannel shirts and cargo shorts. People all around me rushed for the pit when they played their final track 'Deadweight', and it was easy to see why! With a crushing opening riff, the song hits with so much energy from start to finish. I'm not sure what it is about these guys, but they bring something different to the table, compared to your current brand of generic pop punk (sorry Knuckle Puck and State Champs). With lyrics often written based on hardships, ROAM have enough experiences to last a life time, having their van broken into three times in the past month or so. I urge you to give this band a chance, and if you, like me, find yourself enjoying what you hear, go invest in some merch, they deserve as much help as you can offer.
